What is it and what treatments does it include?

For many of us, the appearance of teeth is as important as their health. The complement of general dentistry, which deals with the elimination of imperfections in the appearance of teeth, is aesthetic dentistry.

The range of treatments including aesthetic treatments is extensive, it concerns:

A procedure by which we correct the color of the teeth, there is bleaching. In Warsaw's Edent Stomatology located in the Bemowo district, we offer two methods of performing this procedure.

During one visit, we carry out: Whitening PrevDent with the help of a lamp and with the use of overlays and specialized whitening preparations — i.e., overlay whitening. More news about the cabinet method can be found in our tab regenerative whitening Prevdent

For the second method of whitening, this method involves making individual overlays based on the imprint of the dentition. During the visit, the dentist selects the appropriate preparation, thanks to which we will achieve the desired effect of lightening the color of the teeth. The splints with the preparation are put on for a certain time, e.g., for the whole night. After the specified time, the desired whitening of the enamel will occur.

When deciding to whiten teeth, it is also worth paying attention to other aesthetic aspects of dentition.

In addition to the color of the teeth, the aesthetics of the smile are also influenced by their shape. Aesthetic dentistry also has a solution for this. Replenishment of a broken tooth fragment or reconstruction of a fracture can be performed with a highly aesthetic composite. Applying veneers, you can get change in the shape of teeth as well as their color. Veneers are divided into composite veneers and porcelain veneers. The difference between them is the material of execution and the time of obtaining the effect.

What is Teeth Bonding?

The method of fine tooth surface reconstruction using a composite is called tooth bonding. Composite is a chemical-curable material that a doctordoctor dentist rebuilds the shape of the teeth in layers. Performing tooth restoration with bonding can be done in one visit. Whereas porcelain veneers are performed by a prosthetic laboratory and the execution time is at least two visits with an interval of several days. Nowadays, the tendency to interfere as little as possible with the tooth tissue prevails, therefore, if possible, the doctor will suggest veneers without grinding.

Before aesthetic restoration begins, all teeth must be cured and free of tartar and plaque. During the consultation, doctor dentist examines the bite and then gives advice on the best method of execution veneers, and also establishes with the patient the shape and color of the teeth. If the reconstruction veneers will require grinding the teeth, then they will be made temporary veneers, which will protect the sensitive surface of the teeth until their final restoration is carried out.
